Review Detail of DoctorBlaze in Out of Space

I wanted to write this review to simplify the argument about the AP ammo on the ship. I agree with the author that the ammo would be an issue, it could go through walls and cause depressurization depending on where it struck. I also believe there wouldn't be a lot of internal armor around the reactor, as that would probably be placed around the exterior of the ship. The grenades if used inside the ship wouldn't cause depressurization because they couldn't continue for several dozen meters and depressurize areas, and the blast itself would release shrapnel, but it wouldn't have the same targeted piercing power as AP ammo, so the shrapnel would likely not go too far. As the author said the grenades have a certain radius of effect that likely wouldn't cause depressurization, but would still leave holes in the ship's interior. Also about the argument that the ship defenders should've had better ammo because their enemy is the bugs. The author addressed this point by stating that the ship was old and for training. In addition there are plenty of human enemies that could be encountered, pirates, mercenaries, and such. The ship wasn't prepared to fight bugs, which is why their ammo was so ineffective. TL;DR I side with the author in this argument, and the decisions make sense.
