Rudeus from Mushoku Tensei? That was my fav novel, and the harem was done right, all the girls had their own personality and weren't just forgotten by the MC. The Chinese wuxia novels don't do harem right, they fall in love with a girl and express their undying love, then forget about her next week after meeting with another beauty.

Yep, never trust Chinese novels harem, even worse, there are some which changed half way from non harem to harem because author wanted to please readers, but ended up making a spectacularly trashy harem
