A novel about Mech Designing, unique, and tickles my fondness of sci-fi fantasy theme. I liked Mech Touch, and I did say 'liked' as in not anymore. The story was good prior 1k chapters. Ves developed his skills quite good, and the story exciting enough to merit reading past 500 chapters. But, sadly, the MC's character doesn't develop towards better direction, but instead deteriorates as he becomes greedier, egoistic, and opportunistic further along the story, and that's something that kills my interest reading further. Well, I did read a bit more, giving a chance of it making a comeback, but it just doesn't.

I think I like this type of Mc better since it kinda represents reality. As people become better at their skill and traits, they desire more money for their worth. Due to that become egotistical and more. Bur you probably don't like that type of novel since it start being like reality. Probably a type that like to read novel to get away from reality like me. Except you have to embrace the truth in that this usually happen everytime someone become successful in rl. Rather you don't wanna to admit it or not, it is the truth.

Of course. If I want reality, I'll read documentary instead of science fantasy fiction like Mech Touch. But here, it's not about reality or fiction. You seem to misunderstood the reason of why I stop reading MT. I like reading biography and documentary too, btw. A person character/personality is not related to it being fiction or reality. I just dislike his change of personality, or what he becomes, be it in fiction or in real life. And to me a person character/personality is most important, more than the world design. So I do what I did in real life, staying away from people like that (find/read other novel more exciting in this case). I like Mech Touch 's world concept/design is great, my problem is just with the MC progressing. If i didn't like Mech Touch, I wouldn't have read more than tens of chapters, but I did read more than 1k. So that's something. PS: I did read ahead quite a few more, after his character deteriorates, maybe like giving him a second chance, but he just disgust me now, so why bother.

And no. Please don't generalize/classify deteriorating characters as reality or truth. You just haven't met a lot of people that doesn't get bad AFTER they become successful. There's a lot of people out there that changes for the better. Reality have all kinds of people, good and bad.

True reality has good and bad people. But the fact your comment is saying I was generalizing deteriorating characters as reality, basically mean you reject the fact that it is true. Also do you not realize that your so called deteriorating character, occur alot in society especially since the society we live in is a capitalist world. But you reject that fact and then proceed to generalizing reality doesn't have deteriorating people, only good and bad. Mate, don't go on trying to talk about generalizing when you did the same thing.

You seem offended, though I'm not sure how. I'm not trying to attack you or anything. If you read my statement again, you'll realize that I'm NOT rejecting the idea of deteriorating character as "real", I'm just saying that ALL kinds of people are real, even the ones that seems like fiction. You'll be amazed. Good and bad is just an extreme opposite examples to make my point, well, maybe bad examples now since you ends up offended. So maybe i'll try a more elaborate one for you this time. Picture this: A successful career woman, a big company owner, husband died of heart attack, so she tries to be both father and mother to her two children, while juggling her company in between, both grow up well enough, the mother never remarries, the company successful, good relationship with the relatives, lived to old age, company inherited by both childrens, no feud, and the siblings helps each other. Is this fiction? no, this is real. Is it too good to be true? maybe. And over the world there are many, many cases like this. Unknown. Why? Because it's common. Because the media doesn't report it. Because it's not as exciting as bad scandal by famous/rich people. But it IS real as it can be. Do you see my point now? We can debate this forever, but this is not about the novel anymore. Let's just agree to disagree.

Great, another person that say I sound offend, how about you first learn how to not judge before actually offending them. Ironic, how you can make someone who is not offended, offended, lol.
