Why do people from Korea like to have Kim or Park name for their front name? I heard they have similar culture like China and Japan for naming. I only know little about famous people from Korea but people that i know are all Kim and Park, like Kim Jong Un and Kim Taehyung, do they related to each other? It's just casual ask, so no offense

Originally those with the surnames Park or Kim came from the royal families from ancient dynasties. And as time passes these royal families would split into different branches, creating a lot of Kims, Parks, and Lees.
