Review Detail of LegolasGreenleaf in Legend of the Empyrean Blacksmith

I liked it at first but once the mc leaves on a trip to train himself it changes to be more dark and about discovering what makes us human and other profound stuff also blacksmithing doesn’t happen too often in my opinion compared to cultivation. I have read other novels that focus the story around that and it is interesting but it gets stale fast if it has no break from the gloomy feel which I felt this one doesn’t take a break from it. As it is always something weighing down on the mc and doesn’t really show a true lighthearted moment as he jokes as a defense mechanism. It is an interesting world, story and all it just pulls that ******* string tight and never loosens it enough in my opinion so it makes it hard to read as I need a break from it to read or watch something light hearted that won’t make me question my life. The story also has characters from the start return as major characters which I never liked unless the rare occasion it is done well and makes sense. As this story has a girl he likes and she likes him as they grew up together and are inseparable basically but she was adopted so they have they went their separate ways. Problem is she becomes some major player as she happens to also have mc material which makes me think the orphanage hit the jack pot on gathering kids who will grow up to be powerful. So my problem with the girl is it is that cliche of childhood friends or someone close to you becoming an enemy and also on top of it wipes their own memory to forget the mc cause reasons meaning more drama in the future yay. This is just my personal opinion or taste as I never liked the whole mind wipe of someone you care for to cause more problems in the future and make them an enemy. Anyway to wrap this up it turns into the mc vs the world and him growing to get past his past problems ect which is nice I just find those to be too stressful to read when it doesn’t have enough breaks from all the stressful situations or internal issues they have to deal with. I didn’t like what it turned into but it is written well so it may be something others may like as I am burnt out on these type of stories as I read a few already which they all feel similar in my opinion.
