I'm at chapter 82 and I practically devoured the story it's so good. The writing is excellent, bar a few typos that definitely can be ignored, the character interaction flow well, but worldbuilding is a little lacking though I hope it will be broadened as we progress through the story. So far so good. What I'm a little concerned about is actual cultivation, little of it is actually explained and what is is a bit confusing. Jack talks about cultivation grades but we don't have a frame of reference to understand how powerful each grade is and where exactly that grade is compared to an Elder or the Peak Masters from the first volume. A question, is cultivation I'm your story basically just absorbing more and more Qi as you advance? Jack hasn't done anything special to rise in grade, just using his cultivation technique and having breakthroughs on his own. In conclusion, a very good story I will definitely suggest reading, a little rough around the edges but very promising.

Hey m8, I'm glad that you enjoyed the novel! If you don't mind writing a bit more, can you tell me what you would like to see in world building? I'm trying to explain the things happening as much as I can but I think hearing from my readers will help me to improve more. The cultivation thing is like that because I don't want the readers to know much more than Jack does. I did add a bit more explanation in the Volume 1 Glossary, but I don't think a lot of people read it. The first realm of cultivation is named Spirit Accumulation for a reason. There is a mental aspect to breaking through the minor thresholds (grades 4, 7, 10), but the other grades are just about getting as much spiritual energy as you can and only need a bit of willpower to breakthrough. I tried to show how the minor thresholds differ from each other in the parts that I showed, but I didn't explain the higher realms any more that what Jack saw with his own eyes. As soon as he finds out more, so will everyone else. I hope that I can earn a higher rating from you in the future as I improve.
