Currently up to Chapter 52 This story is about a guy towards the end of his life being reborn (starting from the womb!) into a new world that’s, so far, found in your typical cultivation book. If I was to sum this up in a word: Refreshing. I might be biased, due to the fact that I’m in the USA and this reads like someone who is in my part of the world (sayings, expressions, some light mocking of typical occurrences in these novels—like coughing up blood when injured). This means no lost in translation moments with only a few grammatical/sentence structure errors. But it’s not just that. I like the more realistic take on this genre (cultivation). There’s a bit more science/logic to it, which is a bit unique from the handful of books I’ve read. Stability of updates has been solid and the pace of the story itself has been spot on (starting from the womb was a neat twist to the reincarnation backdrop). MC doesn’t have any real over powering/cheat skills (arguably anyone could do what he does), and I haven’t seen much plot armor. He starts weak, and slowly builds up his strength. It’s an enjoyable pace, not too fast and not to slow for me. I very much enjoy the MC going-against-the-grain of the world’s (typically common in this genre) culture of strong kills the weak. The build people up, as oppose to knocking them down. Lastly I like the flash backs to his previous life. It’s a good change of pace when they are intoduced. Other than the minor grammatical errors, I suppose my only criticism is the MC doesn’t stumble much. This is more personal preference, but I like to be surprised. Failure is a good way of surprising me 😀. While always having the right answer can be enjoyable most of the time, it can turn into an overpowering skill if left unchecked. But that’s just me. I also gave World Background 4 stars but only because we just haven’t seen much of the world yet. Keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing this story progress.

Thanks for the in-depth review, m8! I'll try to use some of your suggestions to improve my novel and hopefully make you like it even more. I try to keep the English as passable as possible, but it isn't my 1st language so I'll always have some mistakes. I can see the "MC doesn't stumble much" thing, gonna try to work on that too. Volume 2 will have a lot more of the world, just couldn't find any way to include it in the current story.

Completely agree with the refreshing take on the standard "might makes right" story. Love the historical details on "how bad can it get" added in too. Yeah, the main character doesn't "fail" very often but... failure is pretty permanent in this world and I don't want the story to end! (There is a certain level of "plot armor" this kind of story needs to work - the trick is to make it so the readers don't notice.)
