Aren't Apocalypses kinda the same thing, except more forceful? Like the Blood Stripe Virus did the same thing by sealing some of them in stone and sending themselves towards the Flying Star Sector, modeling the people of the Iron Plateu into their ideal hosts
I know I'm 4 years late but: He should be around 23. Just a few chapters ago Li Yao was talking about he only took 5 years to transform from an ordinary man to a cultivator at the high stage of foundation establishment. We know he was around 18 at the start of the story (I forget when exactly it was stated)
I kinda have to disagree, I think there was some clear passion in the first 2/3rds of the story at least. Meng Chuan's passion for martial arts and painting were intoxicating, and his wish to clear the world of demons and life happily ever after with his wife were so pure. Some moments, like when True Martial sacrificed himself, or when his wife had to freeze herself, legitimately wrecked me. I really wanted to see the conclusion to his homeworld's war and his reunion with his wife and was actually invested into the characters, and I think IET was too. After that though, I agree for the most part, especially the arc from black hole realm>fifth tribulation, which took him like 50 chapters
I see what you mean, but it still feels slightly awkward to be drip fed the story even though it's all finished. Maybe an increased release rate for these last ~20 chapters would work, like 4 chapters a day instead of 2. Thanks for the translation btw, awesome work as always
Just started reading, but I'm instantly in love with this novel. If you've read IET's works before, you know what to expect here, and luckily for me that's just the type of novel I love. I may be rare here because I mostly read cultivation novels for the cultivation itself, and stuff like insights and breaktroughs, not for the fights or drama. So far, this book has scratched that itch perfectly, with it's cultivation system, insights into arts, comprehension and so on
