Because I knew that although it was typical, the world was developing well. But that really changed in the last 200 chapters, where the writing quality and world building took a massive dump all over the earlier chapters, and that last chapter was like someone literally blowing up a pile of crap right onto you. Character designs are can be described as 2 types, the type that acts cocky until they get their mouths smacked, and then either act out like crybabies until they realize just how screwed they now are, or the start off as greedy S.O.Bs, until they build up relationshipz with MC. Can't remember update stability so gave it a 2

It's an annoying trait of any stereotypical Chinese novel, because so much of the Chinese community has taught their children from young that fillial piety is one of the most important thing in the world

it's so annoying reading stories that say females have a harder time cultivation than men, at least make it so that the internal energies of females being incompatible with normal cultivation techniques such as using Ying energy cultivation when women have yang, or vice versa... it's so easy to make an excuse that just doesn't feel arbitrary
