The story is indeed moving slowly but in my opinion is that just what makes it great. You detailly cover the events that happen before the canon. Most authors start with a shocking start followed by a time skip and then they copy paste the canon. Keep up the great work!

He was wearing a lavish red cloak over a set of expensive looking clothes that wouldn't be out of place for a king, a crown of holly gently sitting on top of his snow-white hair. He was surprisingly clean shaven and fit, looking like a man in his mid-40s.
