Heh so her golden core stats don't supercede her stat debuff in human form? I know the DA that gives her imperfect human form has the stat debuff on it and at some point she scoffed at using system points to upgrade the skill, but I can't help but wonder if she would lower her stat penalty, though any serious fight can be in her fox form anyway so I guess I can't justify the expense, especially since she is aiming for true spirit beast and beyond so she'd get a human form free anyway. Other then getting a new martial art it doesn't feel like she really got any stronger from the Golden Core, we still haven't seen the stat block to know if it's true or not but hrm.

Oh I should also note that she hasn't reached her highest level of using her martial soul, she managed to weaponize it into gauntlets which is like 2nd tier level of using a MS, but it's been mentioned she could fuse with her MS and get all its abilities and passives tacked on to her own, think that is cool just for the flight and water manipulation. All that being lost so she can have another short lived power mode when she already has war goddess to fall back on just sounds meh to me. Hell wearing her gauntlets is the only enhancement she has that doesn't have a backlash in her grade? Either way this problem is still a whole other evolution away to worry about. It'll prolly be over a month before she hits rare grade, and she could be stuck on that level for a year of real time or more, her level of power is already abnormal, I can't see her getting stronger in lightwind content after this arc, so just gotta wait an see.

I really feel like sacrificing the martial soul is a trap that prevents true spirit beasts from moving up to the divine realm, her newbie immortal guide mentioned there are more ways to improve the grade of a MS in the divine realm, implying there are people up there who are still using their martial souls at a level higher than folks in the realm she is in right now.

I forget what all her top evolutions were this time around, I know she got a secret one for basically meeting the requirements for all her other ones last time round, either way her system will choose the most powerful option possible for her and it's been upgraded since the last time too so maybe her evolution would be more ridiculous then we might imagine. I'd just be happy with added star themes and some extra minor clones so she can comprehend skills faster and have an extra set of hands to start up alchemy, think she has a supposedly good cracked pot already, and some other divine scroll she got from sword immortal about divine forging or whatever, either way, too much for just two of her to work on.

It's kinda odd how I'm sure now that Bookeeper moved her invite to the secret realm as her punishment, but last time she intervened it led to the war between beasts and humans flaring back up, love to see what forcing her to hide from the exploration team to evolve is gonna cause.

Happy to see some gains from the Golden Core, I guess we won't see her use this much cause it takes too much energy, but at the end of the day her fire eyes an such are really the only powers she has that can let her fend off someone stronger than she is though, so I can't see it as a downside. She needs better energy control or to evolve and be stronger than anyone who wants to kill her anyway, that would defeat the need for a big flashy attack prolly. Either way more options are better.

Kinda an annoyance of the genre it seems, TLX can't even travel a hundred yards from the academy without a gang of people out to assault her, I can't read other stories that constantly fixate on some aspect of a FL, generally unabashedly about chest size, TLX is surprisingly the least busty lead I'm reading about, and when she evolves she will prolly get the increase she wants and immediately whine about the added attention it gets her, granted I don't think Silly Fox can be more annoying about how down bad he is for her already, but one day she is gonna have to be maskless and exist in some sort of society, would love to see her have a place in the world rather than be in fox intern limbo at the school.

I think the one she was gunning for was Imperial Sun/Moon and Stars fox, so basically a celestial fox? It's kinda a mouthful, and she needs like "800ish" more quantivie star energy which is apparently very rare in the world she is in, and at no point has it been mentioned that star power is anything good compared to her other options, granted I think it's the natural evolution of what she was going for so I don't see her trying for something else.

Curious to know what her stats are now, I really can't imagine that her golden core was such a massive stat forward that all her stats jumped from her 5k cap to 15k each, not to mention no breakthrough before increased her spirit stat from what I remember. Also if her human cultivation exceeds her beast strength does that superceed her 1/3 stat penalty? Another aside I'm surprised how little anyone cares that she has no reason to expect the tribulation xD literally no contemporary comparison, though I expect they would shake her down for her secrets before ship owners can demand money from her. I wonder if she would already be a true spirit beast if she could have received all the damages from, blowing up the Councilor's garden, Loki devouring the auction, and this new round of town deusctrion, like if they just brought her to a bunker and dropped 100mil in vitality stones or whatever on her, instead they let her fool around with cultivation on her own and these are the results xD

Kinda hope she gets more martial skills out of the other chapters for this, she sorta doesn't have any for the Phoenix, but I guess FoP gives her some strong fire affinity, water clones and roaring slash are fun and all but just kinda limited for the epic beasts she now has phantoms? Of in her core, guess it's wait and see for now. Wonder what will become the cultivation manual for her after this too.

It's kinda weird I don't think that it's that she's missing an evolution, it might really be that she already had it since forming her dantian took the place of her evolution but didn't change her grade. Where as false spirit beast is the rank above beast lord, but is a dead end. Where as true spirit beast loses their powers till they form/breakthrough a certain amount of human cultivation, then when all those conditions they are [Ancient?] So the only thing she would be skipping is false spirit beast, in a way she since she has an evolution without advancing her grade she has has all the levels and points she should have by the time she advances to true spirit beast.

Yeah your probably right maybe she just never externalized the thought, she did send her to the inheritance tablet, also bookkeeper saw her whole time there and never said anything about it either. The thing I'm hung up on I guess is that Mei Lan needs to form a dantian to progress through the evolution route she's seeking and hasn't bothered to ask any questions xD

To some degree she hides her cultivation with art of concealment, though it's not like she's mastered it and I'm sure powerful people have ways to see through some of the things she tries to keep secret. I still don't understand how good Mei Lan is at putting things together that she can't equate her having a martial soul to having human cultivation.

Most folks can't evolve their martial soul in this world save for her old nemesis who did it off screen apparently? Either way her system helps her use xp to push through bottle necks I guess, and the last evolution change was just so much excess energy going all over the place. Still can't see being a golden core cultivator hurting her chances of growing her martial soul now though.

Yeah I don't think her human core would fuse with her beast core, if anything she might get another beast core to house stellar energy, or that could fuse into her original one. Really if she pushes her body to do something unnatural her system will smooth it over as long as she heals through any damage it causes. Though in her last evolution it balanced her Yin and Yang energy, a quick googling implied stars are more harmonious between those so I can't imagine it'd be as lethal, but foxes don't seem to change bloodlines while evolving so who knows till we get there.

The world limiting the number of beings at the same level seems odd to me, I can understand the idea that there aren't enough resources/talent whatever stopping people from getting there, however it makes more sense to me that it's just a limit that they can't get any stronger than they are or they'd be forced to move to a higher realm, and basically start over there, it's weird to think Xue will have to but heads with someone for their slot, heck most of them will prolly go after her to stop a talented person from having their slot. Granted this a problem that is like 400+ chapters away, can worry about it after reaching spirit beast.
