Same old wine in new bottle and in a new bar (verse). MC's father is not a great parent. Wishes makes less senses. Why in the world he tolerate his step family when their presence only makes him miserable. MC is not a good decision maker. Rejecting the heart for now is a example. Maybe I don't have the mental faculty to understand how his decision making process works. Overall quality is meh. Because somehow each and every interaction, progression of story feels forced.

Isn't your ff is offshoot of Started from Lord of the Rings? The MC there was basically immortal human and no crossover. I personally do not like crossovers. Now here not only you mix Witcher but now MC is half Elf and nephew of the best wifu of LotR. Do you know why Chinese ff of LotR do not have Arwen (Liv Tylor) as FL? Because in their mind Liv is ugly AF. For once I wanted to get Arwen as FL break canon in a not garbage ff of LotR But nope MC became nephew of Arwen. The original ff's 2nd arc was well hell and written by p*n*s instead of pen, but 1st arc was meh compared to 2nd. Fun fact: Template of Arwen was based on real life wife of Tolkien. Grey eyes, waterfall like black hair, soft temperament yet strong willed also a beauty.
