Is this what prep time supposed to be? When characters say they need to bring out their inner batman, they usually mean there's only one possible way to achieve this and they'll figure it out like usual, not like this when there's literally none ways you can see any plans workin so they overcompensate with everything else to dodge the conventional ways as much as possible. Is this that done right?

Before discussing a versus battle, people really need to ask what's the winning condition is, sometimes just surviving is a solid win (Odin against Fenrir, he didn't just survive with an inch of his life, his whole fate was defied) and sometimes, just losing something in the process, even if you kill your opponent is still a lost.

I don't think this "someone else" even exist. What I mean is that Bleach is similar to our world where all we have about Gods are stories and legends, so the Izanami that created Japan in Bleach only exist as much as our is. Now enter Izzy who embodies all of that. I wish I could word it better, but it's not hard to just take it for what it is if it don't shake up your suspension of disbelief too much

Yeah, tampering it in any ways will reaffirm their suspicions to any foods with that note but leaving it as it is will induce some good old paranoia after some examinations, gotta give it a few more tests to make sure, is it really NOT poisoned? Is that what they want us to think?

Parallels is what make these dimensional hopping interesting. If you want to draw the line that badly, DxD Odin would never be able to sense Fate Odin's blessing since it's "not him" along with many MANY previous and future possible plot points or worse case scenario, characters would lose everything because it's not their world and simply cease to exist.
