Bro if he doesn't mention these events here, then they will fill later chapters in the form of flashbacks . I think, author did this because some idiots had problems with the flashback thing in the previous arc , so he added it here.

I think this chapter was really required . Hiruzen's internal turmoil should be shown ; these things will give weight to the arc. Otherwise , it would be just MC one shotting every one of orochi's guards . The tone is set in a way , that even if Daichi offs Orochimaru, Hiruzen will not be upset over it . This flashback was basically him , finally giving up on his student .

The writing in this novel is top notch. If someone believes in realism , then he or she would realize how well made this novel is. I truly think this is one of the more well made novels out there. No unnecessary power ups , no hacks , a weak MC . But someone I can relate to if I was born in the Naruto world. Fantastic work. Keep it Up!
