a slave is not related to a servant. a slave is a type of livestock with no rights and no pay, a servant is an employee working in the service industry such as a waiter
A servant is a type of employee, a maid is an example of a servant. I have some cognitive dissonance about Ely not abolishing slavery, I don't see any problem with Ely abolishing genocide, slavery, or any other clear and arbitrary evil between humans in a civil state. Is the author trying to say slavery is cultural or acceptable and not evil? Like oh ya, that's just their way of life you know, some humans are just meant to be livestock, that's just how it is. Gotta respect those cultures and all that. No I really don't think Ely is the type of person to ignore evil right in front of them, since she's right there she might as well punish them one at a time when they're in front of her face, even if she doesn't go around the world fixing everything like it's her job, this is still a violation of her character.
i don’t believe it was a misunderstanding 😇
respectfully @Lemonbunzz I disagree, our current law in 2020 era is still barbaric. in that world it takes hundreds of years to cultivate, they are basically fish-food. they will either repent or curse themselves. what is the purpose of prison or death? I won't force feed my opinion or anything, and I understand where you're coming from, I'm obviously human as well and I understand wrath, retribution, and schadenfreude as well as anyone. it's just a thought
can't just take an L, gotta multiply them losses
I think Elysia got them ara-ara vibes
lol the volcano seahorse!
it’s her own words back at her 😇
i agree with harrigtag, an avatar is not a clone, but it can rejoin the main soul
have to be so dark?
of course she trusts them, she just needed to be alone
the plushie existed in the previous book and is an easter-egg/dead-give-away to existing readers, any returning character such as sylvia would definitely know what it is
or the non evil gods are unlikely to generate news and events
I don’t think he associated the “thing which made the abyss” with the “young god”
I’m glad it’s not the quest of the entire book, I originally thought that…
