Maybe they won't be able to use his true name to defeat the mad prince if someone else is already his master. Didn't they say he followed orders from the dread lord? So it is possible he has a new master.

To have freedom would mean his master would die. Maybe this is why he should be careful what he wishes for.

Ah I was thinking of that and wondered why they didn't do it last chapter.
The three of them also used sturdy ropes to tie themselves to the ketch. If the boat did overturn… hopefully, they would not be pulled into the depths of the underwater storm immediately. - RazziaStJames5mthCommented
I guess they didn't think about roping each other and to the ketch but hey you know Sunny can't resist taking a dip.

I was hesitating between Sunny and Kai and Sunny is taking the lead.

That seems quite right even though I am not sure why Sunny would be a part of them (even though with time being a variable everything is possible), and if so, I would hesitate with him and Kai as to who is the mad prince and the dread lord.

Humm, I thought as this Nightmare plays with time, maybe the members of the cohort entered way before and succombed to corruption. Those creatures would then be them, and the goal is for Nephis and Sunny to defeat the corruption. And for me, I would replace jet and Mordret in your assumption as she is "stealing souls," and Mordret, in his own way, is undying. But he could also be the mad prince.

I don't think so because it is part of the things Ananke referred to as benefits from the nightmare spell (aspect, ability, memories). So I would guess they didn't have them before 🤔. Though I am wondering if Noctis and such didn't have aspect?
So… the ancient humans Awakened in the reverse order compared to modern humans, who formed their soul core after the First Nightmare and gained the ability to control essence after surviving the first journey to the Dream Realm. If we are really going into the theory of Sunny being weaver in the past, we must consider Nephys to be that "angel" fallen from the sky.
Sunny suddenly remembered the Forgotten Shore, and the ruin that had befallen that land when the shining figure fell from the sky.
