America and most of Europe use Latin and most of their Languages are based of offLatin. In this ff, the use of a language makes it magical. Chinese and Japanese are so different from Latin and historical languages, that they are also somewhat magical. Originally I wanted to use some kind of ancient Chinese or sth like that, but thats hard to translate. I also couldn’t let the shinra tensei slip 😉 Ty for ur comment

The other reason was also part of what he just thought about. The key word was the 'earth's magic'. Coupled with the muggles fast progress in science, a lot more made sense. A long time ago, magic activated in one point of the earth, which became the first centre of magic. But the earth did not do it by itself, but with the help of an outside influence. A magical meteor! Or maybe it wasn't a meteor at all, but something else? Nonetheless, all life was wiped out and the earth started anew. Many very ancient texts and runes hinted to the existence of magic outside of the earth and these runes were finally comprehensible if you knew about a few things' muggles knew. Yeah, that would be a good idea. But would it be able to differentiate with parents of magicals/people who know? They would need to find every person that knows, and you cant exactly restrict the birth of wizards, while demigods… there arent that many…
