You know author you have already said that 'end' is different from the what we think. it's a mystery or whatever that's why you are not using the word ending but I personally think there is no need to to emphasize it every single time. you can simply write end instead of 'end'. OR og ISKE could have also said that 'It's only you who can change 'that'. I think you are overusing 'end'. Since you have already used it enough time there is no need to emphasize again and again. Try your best so that readers can forget it and when it slips their minds then bang unveil the mystery like it was always there in the hindsight but we couldn't see. That's just my humble opinion. You know better than me.
