Never went to school, but: >Speaks like an english lord >Has the etiquette of a gentleman >Says "damnation" >Is (was) the author of many award winning academic papers
It's cool how this puts things into perspective. Skytide was a well established and experienced saint and was only able to hold the Winter Beast on a stalemate because her aspect was a good counter for its abilities. Sunny, meanwhile, had just become a saint and ripped the creature in half... with his hands.
Shed a tear?
Man, what's up with up with G3 creating those extremely emotional and powerful moments just by making a character say only a few lines? "Stronger!", "Be unreasonable!" , and now, "Let's break Fate!". Gods, I love this novel!
I mean... nobody points ou that, even though Cassie shared Sunny's secret with Nephis, by the end of the day, it was Nephis who made use of it to force Sunny into abandoning her. Cassie never forced Nephis to do it, maybe she even thought that would never happen given the bond betweem them. So Nephis is at fault too!
It's weird because Jet's corrupted version had a glaive... and we're sure it wasn't her aspect legacy because her corrupted version would be able to change weapons if that was the case. So that glaive should be a memory, no?
I think Sunny is being unfair with sinny without knowing it... he forgets that if he really wanted for him to become defiled, he wouldn't have saved him from the mad prince during his dream.
Allright, just hear me out... what if Nightmare is the dreadlord from the six plagues?
All I can hear on my head, while reading this chapter is that song playing "look at my horse, my horse is amazing give it a lick"
The mad prince had a black mantle too...
Maybe he already did, and everything went wrong on the first time. So after being stuck for a long time he transcended, learned how to weave the estuary key and wished to go back in time while forgetting everything that happened... hence the description of the key "the answer is oblivion", and why the flotsam piece had "wish" written all over it.
If he is future Sunny, I can already picture both of them cutting each other while laughing maniacally
Isn't it weird that, when travelling downstream, only her physical appearence changes? If her existence is moving back in time, shouldn't her memories be erased as well? Also, she probably would be acting as a girl her age, not an ederly woman.
Two cores from the turtle... two from the butterfly and one from the serpent. If he collects all of them, it's five already.
If only a fraction of them completes the nightmare... just imagine how many gates would appear on the real world
What if... those 3 nightmare gates are implying that, out of the entire cohort, only three are going to survive the third nightmare?
I get the feeling that these lines imply that they don't really know what is at stake. As if they're just accepting whatever their higher ups at the clans are telling them as the truth. It sounds as if the author is mocking them.
Based on how the imp acted the first time it was summoned - running away and hiding - I think it's implied that it retained it's memories. If that's the case, I think sunny's actions are pretty justifiable.
To think that, at the beginning of the novel, sunny was wondering if he would ever be able to conjure shadow hands to rip a fallen demon apart. Our boy has grown up!
