Fast start, yet seems interesting at the same time TFTC!!

Volume by volume review time!!! First and second volume were great, I loved the first and second volumes, sunny was cool, Effie was cool, Cassie was cool but annoying and infuriating, Kai was cool, Nephis was cool, everything was cool! Third and 4th volumes were alright, the third nightmare felt kind of boring and dragged for a while, but it was nice to see sunny get better at his weaving! Sunny and cohort clearing second nightmare with a mediocre rating was fine, it was to be expected with a small group. Nephis’s sudden soloing of the second nightmare however was a very jarring experience to read to say the least. Felt like it broke the rules of the whole story, and probably sparked the whole nephis hate train. Volume 5 and 6 were alright. Bear the end of Five and the beginning of six felt like a return to the forgotten shore era of SS. However hearing Nephis go all ham on sunny, saying that he would basically obey her and like it left a bitter taste in my mouth. Antarctica arc felt really nice, and kinda got me hoping for a Sunny x Jet😳. Volume 7 got me feeling pretty good. In the previous volumes, it felt like sunny was being overshadowed by everyone else, so seeing him shine and have an active role felt really nice. The mystery building and foreshadowing was absolutely beautiful. There were some issues that I personally had with how Nephis just went Kaboom and made a profit, and how basically most of Sunny’s work was taken from him. And finally the big one, I didn’t personally like the use of the slave bond in this volume. Even though it was a single use in this volume it still left a dirty taste in my mouth and felt just wrong. Summary, good novel, Mc’s original goal of breaking free of fate and slave bond seems very far away though, power system needs some clearing up as I don’t believe that a divine combat related aspect should be able to cause such devastation at a relatively low cost.
