The wiki on this and recent articles about the topic conflict with what you say. This is not the platform to discuss this, but if you have a reliable link for further reading I'd be interested, otherwise nvm, have a good one 👍
Not sure what you are basing this on, but I suggest you look it up again. It's not as simple and as single number-y as for example that episode in Black Mirror, but it very much does exist and is long codified
Up to the chapter this was about the MC got a system based on his family and all he did was ignore the family. At this point we know nothing about alchemy nor other alchemists, all we know is the MC is not using his family and is starting from scratch instead.
I mean one of the four great families already has at least a couple of alchemists, starting from 0 without knowing what you're looking for is a waste of time

With him eating better this should realistically increase…
It also adds nothing, just author being confusing in an attempt to show off ancient Chinese factoids
Probably a tip for what's next (selling the skin and buying lots of stuff)
That said this sentence doesn't make any sense in-context either as it doesn't explain anything, it just adds a random fact that's irrelevant.
Thanks, authors not explaining things as usual lol. It's most random when it comes to how much exactly units such as li, mu etc. are considering these have been changed through history.
If you scroll up, it's 7 months…
Sheesh, skill when?
