I really liked reading it. Only thing that I didn’t is the techniques and skills system that isn’t explored or elaborated on, which is a shame. It would’ve been nice to see how the Mc built his fighting style in detail, it would’ve also added another type of progression. Another minor thing that is more of a personal preference, I think there are too many mysteries at the same time, it’s nice to have them, but they only keep piling up, some answers are also necessary, idk maybe I’m just too impatient. Great story overall, that I have enjoyed reading, if you like a protagonist that has no hesitation or remorse in sacrificing anything and anyone for his goal, then I definitely recommend this novel.

I personally really like this novel. I enjoy the dark theme and the main character's personality, outlook and especially his drive. One point that could be better imo is that the mc should be happier, meaning if he is convinced that his path and decisions are right, his outlook on life in general should be more positive, a bit like Leylin in Warlock of the Magus World I guess; Leylin does evil acts, manipulates people, etc.. but that doesn't stop him from enjoying his life because he knows that he is selfish and evil but he believes in what he does. Another thing I really like in this novel is that the author doesn't shy away from having the mc make significant sacrifices to pursue his path, and it makes us feel like the protagonist has a lot less plot armor. In a nutshell I like the author's mix of progression fantasy along with a dark theme and a bit of tragedy.
