The pronoun issues really confused me at first. While reading the first chapter, I thought for a moment that this was a gender-bender transmigration story

Really, that was the chapter for Jayden’s POV? Was this chapter written just to appease the audience? Because there’s no way that a person can look for someone for 6 years and never have their feelings develope past the “he’s mine” mentality. It’s obvious that the author isn’t planning to develop Jayden’s character much or keep him around the story from that 2D portrayal of him. Even Cam’s character is more fleshed out than Jayden. Is Jayden really supposed to be the ML? Because I’m starting to think otherwise. Also, this is looking less like a love story and more like a tragedy with each chapter…

Was what Cam did in the alley not almost r***? And yet Will forgave him. So why can’t he forgive Jayden? He hasn’t even given Jayden the benefit of the doubt and tried talking to the poor man. He automatically ran away. Well, I’m sure Will can see by now that running isn’t going to solve anything. Hopefully, they can talk it out like adults.

Where’s the rest? It can’t end so soon! I want to see the end of their adorable love story! :’(

I get that some people will blame Jayden for what just happened, but is Jayden the only one responsible? If the MC hadn’t run for weeks then their hormones would have never gone so crazy that they had borderline nonconsensual s*x. Is it Jayden’s fault for looking for his fated mate? No. If MC would’ve just talked to Jayden instead of automatically judging him, then their relationship (or lack thereof) wouldn’t be so screwed up. You’d think that since the MC was raised as an alpha that he’d be in a unique situation to understand what’s going through Jayden’s mind. Jayden met his fayed mate at a p**n shoot and jumped him. Was it a jerk move? Yes, but all things considered I don’t blame him that much. Considering the insane attraction between fated mates, I don’t think I could stop myself from jumping my mate if he was already naked and standing right in front of me. I mean, the MC didn’t even try to talk to Jayden. He automatically judged him because he’s a dominant alpha and comes from money. If he hates being discriminated against because he’s an omega, then you’d think he wouldn’t automatically discriminate against other designations.

You’d think that with the fact that the MC was raised as an alpha that he would be more willing to give Jayden a chance and see things from his POV. MC admitted himself that being raised as an alpha caused him to originally view betas and omegas as beneath him. So why couldn’t he give Jaden a chance when they first met? Was Jayden a jerk for forcing himself on MC during the p*** shoot? Yes. But was it Jayden’s fault that the MC couldn’t accept him designation? No. Also, if MC hadn’t run from Jayden for months after finding out about being fated mates then their hormones would have never gotten so out of control that they had borderline nonconsensual s*x because their pheromones were out of whack. You can’t blame Jayden entirely for that incident because it wouldn’t have gotten to that point if MC hadn’t run away for weeks. They were pretty much both victims. Like seriously, I understand that the MC has trauma, but if he was willing to open himself up to love with Ashe then why wouldn’t he be willing to give his fated mate a chance? He already knows that he will get biologically ill if he is intimate with anyone other than his fated mate, so why didn’t he try to get to know Jayden. Also, isn’t it kinda a plot hole that he isn’t getting as sick now without Jayden. If it was so bad before, and it kept getting worse the longer he when without Jayden then he should’ve gone crazy without him long before 5 years could pass.

I’m used to stories having some grammar mistakes, but this is the worst I’v seen so far. I don’t think there was a single paragraph in this chapter without a mistake. Whole sentences need to be scrapped and reworked. If you’re not going to have someone proof read your chapters, then at least get the Grammarly app. Most of those mistakes would have been caught by the app and the lowest level of the app is free.

You must have forgotten that the book explicitly said that you don’t know a person’s name until they tell you. So the leaderboard wouldn’t have any effect on random encounters.

The story starts a bit slow but overall it’ a good read. Some parts can seem a bit contrived as a means to move the story along though
