There is a difference between immidiet reaction on a traumatic event like someone dying in front od you and deliberately planning to ruin a whole kingdom for over 100 years. Zaria kind of has a point but is not 100% right.

Why Max? He was usually kind (in his way) and helped you many times (including saving your life several times). He was the one who treated you as a mage capable to make your own decisions when others refused to even notice you or listen what you have to say. Not cool. One comment you didn't like shouldn't get you to conclusion that you don't want to meet him again... It doesn't have to be next war, it might be some other circumstances.
