Pretty sure they spoke bout neon lights earlier but even if they didn’t why are you acting like there weren’t games back then. Might not be video games, but there were easily games that had point systems back then.
If it was like a game, having a dark core granted a person 10 points in the Darkness attribute to start with. This could be increased through certain techniques or items that enhanced that particular attribute. I get why you would say that but parts of it don’t make sense. First, just by using his stat points earlier won’t automatically result to him miraculously gaining stat points. He’s gonna have the same amount saving or not saving. Second, the way the author writing the story makes saving the stat points seem more logical if you get what mean. Third, what if he didn’t save his stat points and he put most of them in strength? He wouldn’t be ato catch up to the monster. Saving just seems more logical in THIS story.

That makes no sense, clearly he remembers the changed name, but he doesn’t need to change what we address the MC. The characters in the story can address him as his ”new name”, but theres no need for us too. And plus monster doesn’t flow

Could you please elaborate on what his dad or his family has done to him so far to make him upset? I understand the screwed up thing his dad did but he hasn’t deliberately gotten in his sons life in anyway.
