Ooh! With a Spire Messenger, Cassie will know he was on the Forgotten Shore. Perhaps that will help her realize they’d been friends before

A Spire Messenger now stood on the edge of the cliff, its terrifying black beak cutting the wind like a dark blade. The creature's once pale body was now utterly black, and its many powerful limbs pierced the ice with long, sharp talons.

    Kai! 🤣

Ananke was wearing a similar one. Also, she might be vaguely recalling Mongrel

Why did it look so familiar?

It’s possible she just sees it like when they first met, but hes cut off from the Spell and just before, it said “her smile wavered a little.” So, I think she remembers and isn’t sure if he remembers her bc, perhaps, she mentioned him to other members of the cohort and THEY didn’t remember so she’s worried that since everyone’s forgotten him then he’s forgotten them

    "...Happy Birthday."

    Congrats, Saint Roan!!! Wooo!! 🎉

…Indeed, the young woman in front of him was Lady Telle of the White Feather clan. She was the daughter of Saint Tyris and Master Roan… although the latter was also a Transcendent now.

by saying this line, he's confirming his mom named him that, meaning yes it is his real name and thus aswering the question truthfully

Divine DNA is naturally going to be stronger than mortal DNA. But, since Weaver created this lineage, the keyword being created, (WEAVED perhaps?) it’s also likely they intended for the enhancements of the Blood and Bone weaves to make their way to someone

Did it mean that he had actually inherited the lineage of the Forgotten God?

Probably either to wake Dream or keep them asleep

What was the true purpose of the Nightmare Spell, and what was Weaver's real goal?

So did Dream betray the other 6 so they sealed them away, or did the other 6 betray Dream by trapping them forever like that? Or did Dream sacrifice themself willingly to hold the Void Beings back? 🤔

One of the seven radiant figures was hopelessly caught among the terrifying shapes of the Void Creatures, unable to retreat. Nevertheless, the net of flames still enveloped the void, creating a cage around it.

You. Multiple times. Does that make you exponentially mad?

And it was not even the real thing. Sunny shuddered to imagine how much more harrowing the true Estuary was. What madman would want to try entering its dreadful halls?

Thousands? If it takes what feels to the cohort like a year to get to the estuary each time, that means they’ve been in the Tomb for thousands of years. Wow. It doesn’t make sense long-term plot-wise for them to have been in the Tomb for that long tho, so I wonder how time outside the tomb equates to time inside 🤔

There, in front of him, thousands of Chain Breaker lay on the black stone, broken and destroyed. Although each was destroyed in a unique manner, shattered by a terrible impact, most of them were exactly the same. Some were a little different, seemingly modified before turning into a forlorn wreck.

She still hasn't answered 2 questions: where she's going and why she wanted to get Sunny alone. We may find out next chapter, but avoiding those questions thus far is kinda sus

so Sinny's been trying to get her to react to him. Now the question is why? I doubt it's just for the pleasure of getting someone normally so cool-headed to lose their composure (tho I'm sure that IS part of it lol). I think Sinny is far too sentient and human to have only been through 1 previous loop, so my guess is he's trying to help Sunny pass the Nightmare (likely bc he's bored of the Tomb) which can only happen if Sunny and Cassie truly work together on the same page

The Sin of Solace stared at her vindictively, but did fall silent. A satisfied smile appeared on his face.

I agree that Cassie is a little suspicious but it's just a strange vibe, not really for this reason. Seeing that far into the future isn't something new for her. She saw parts of the battle for the Crimson Spire of the Forgotten Shore before they even reached the Tree iirc. She's also seen her own death so it's plenty likely that she got a vision of the explosion and just chose not to talk about it

Which meant that she had known what would happen all along.

that makes sense. Iirc, in the description of Shadow Bond way back at the beginning, the Spell said "every shadow needs a master" (or something similar). Following that logic, I think it's safe to say that every reflection needs someone to, well, reflect

"Is it weird? Ah, it must be. If you say so."

this poor boy lmao. Sunny's gonna have to give him a much more detailed explanation later

That was why Kai tried to help Sunny fight the dragon, as best he could.

The next moment, Mordret's eyes grew empty, while the warrior's eyes ignited with sinister intelligence. A moment after that, Mordret's own body plunged into the shallow water, disappearing from sight.

I think we've found Dread Lord and Kai turning into such a gorgeous dragon is freaking awesome

A harrowing, beautiful creature was perched on top of the cracked dome, its talons piercing the crumbling stone. Its glistening scales were the color of the midnight sky, appearing entirely black in the dim twilight of the early dawn. Its vast wings were open, obscuring the heavens. Its sinister eyes burned like distant, cold stars, full of malevolent will and merciless fury.
