Hi! In the first chapter, it is specifically Bakugo's friend who, in this version of the timeline, utters those words to Izuku. I felt like it needed to be kept in order to retain the same impact the original author of the manga had intended for it.
"My son felt really bad for bullying you after entering junior high school," Mrs. Bakugo revealed, a hint of irony in her tone. "Ha. He even confessed everything to me after the first day. He never knew how to approach you, so he did the only thing he thought he was best at. Oh, and I did take a look at the first chapter and saw that the scene can be misinterpreted if you don't carefully read it. So, I went back and hopefully fixed that particular issue.

Hi, Bakugo in this version of the story is not entirely unhinged compared to his canon counterpart. I understand that you and many others may feel there is a discrepancy with this plot point. Remember, we humans are not always logical and tend to be highly illogical when in mental distress, and that point is prevalent in more than one event that occurs in the story.

People are unperfect and in this case, Midoriya is being used as a way to project anger and resentment, caused or not caused by him. However I have to agree that I did not convey and build the scenario in the most believable way, and ill likely revisit the chapter to fix that issue.
