I still can’t get used to see sunny in charge (standing in the light), I kinda miss the shadow he used to be (just as during the forgotten shore days)

my bad, I should have chosen my words more wisely. I actually didn’t think about sacrificing people, but rather - as an example - you sacrifice a relationship you could have with someone you really like to walk your own path towards your own goal because your world view just don’t match or sacrificing one of your goals to stil be in this said relationship

I‘d say that it means your goal takes priority. Only following your own path. Not letting outside events disturb one from reaching the goal. That does not mean one is heartless but if sacrifices must be made, so be it. Nothing is more important than fulfilling the desired target.
