Taking one of the grapes of the plate and chewing on it, it's been way too long since I've enjoyed such a simple piece of fruit. Don't get me wrong, the dwarfs can grow basically anything down here but most have no care for anything even somewhat healthy, something likes grapes don't really grow well down here. Basically, the cooldown timer is exactly 500 years so if Ikarus were unfortunate enough to die right now, the timer applies afterwards so it can't activate again for another 500 years.
