Or maybe the author wanted to make a story with characters that are beloved in both the game and show in already established places. While you may not agree with this decision, there are logic and reasons behind it. And if you're seeking completely original content, you may want to consider looking beyond the fanfiction section.

Someone here might be very very angry at the very thought that Alduin might hear the word "servant" in his address and not destroy that person, let alone the fact that Alduin himself hinted at something like that.
