But it’s not mentioned except for with Aliana where we are told her mate died. So I would assume if Jace had ever had a mate we would have been told that. Oh well definitely like the idea of Jace and Grace being a couple!

And I’m totally here for that! I know this is Cane and Iris’s story but I would also like to see the development of the other character’s relationships like Redmond and Sofia, Ethan and Aliana (though I’m not a huge fan of this pairing. Mainly because the author did such a good job of showing that Aliana was not over the loss of her mate and child that her sudden change of heart just because Ethan got sick doesn’t really sit well with me. Especially because the latest is she wants to have a baby with him when they’ve only kissed as far as we know! But I get it…I guess 😂). Anyhow more couple action is what I’m looking for. Like can we get Grace and Jace together please? Since we’re not exactly particular about fated mates in this world I would totally ship these two! 😍

This might not be a popular opinion but I don’t like them betting on Lou’s life to draw out Rei. I’m sure it will all work out just fine in the end but it’s very callous given Lou is Iris’s Protector. This just feels far too cavalier and callous to me.

I love how petty Lou is…but I don’t see how his infatuation with Iris can possibly be a good thing. At some point I need him to realise it’s Cane and Iris just so he doesn’t become this timeline’s version of Rei.

Oh no! Poor Cane. He is so scared, worried and frightened of losing her. Even though Iris saw what Cane went through after the babies died and she lost herself in her grief. I guess she can’t fully appreciate how horrible that time was for Cane. Carrying the loss of the babies by himself whilst almost losing her. It was all too much for him. All the loss he has suffered, losing his first family, then his and Iris’s twins AND almost losing Iris. There’s only so much one Alpha can take. I’m sure he’ll come round but with Decratic still out there and them still being at war, this is only going to make him even more worried about Iris and the babies. I hope Iris can understand his fears.

I’m still not a huge fan of Abby but in this she is absolutely right.

The lights came from her power and when Iris was done, the lights would fade away and disappear, but strangely enough these two lights remained, floated around her playfully.
