why not stage it as an accident? If she "accidentally" kills the Joker coz she just got her powers and doesn't have any experience with using them safely she should be able to get away with it. As an added bonus, Batman will definitely bring her into the team so he can keep her under surveillance and train her so no more "accidents" happen

I think she classifies more as a Mutated Human or Beastman since all spider people have their DNA mixed with spider DNA, basically making them not fully human but more like half human half spider
