well depends on what type of damage was done. if it were just nuclear bombs like in Japan in WWII, then yes because most, and I am talking over 95%, of the radiation was gone in 24 hours. Those areas are back to normal and have been after the fact. If it were nuclear facilities that's a bit different if they didn't clear up the waste by now and the monsters would have made that harder. Chernobyl is a prime example of that.
