is these altered the same technology the Pure group uses on MVS?

Is this story connected to My Vampire System and My Dragon System novel? Or just a completely different story? I hope it is connected since MVS and MDS are both connected (Ray (MDS Main Character) being an ancestor of Quinn (MVS Main character).
