there will come a point where "it's only a Corrupted Titan" will be said in earnest by Sunless, as he watches his minions shred it...

I'm actually glad that he lost... it means he has room to grow and it further cements the dread that Corrupted Titans should instill. There are limits to Sunny's plot armor, and that's a good thing.

I sense he'll eventually surpass Neph in capability, but he'll come around to being DD her willing slave because her convictions and judgement surpasses his by a wide margin... in a way, it would protect him and there'd be an asymmetric balance so he didn't feel their relationship was really that of master and slave.
