The way I like to discribe it is by stuff like, oh well an avrage room the size of a small apartement, or stand at the hight of two (avrage/tall) men or more... or just discribe it by the furniture.

Can I get more details on why he thinks as such? The thought itself isn't the problem, but you need to give more closure. Is it a hunch? Is it a novel based of assumption that he regarded as belief?
