maybe it just knows what he wants. all Sunny has ever wanted was to be free of the bond and to choose his fate. I think that the bird somehow already has the knowledge of his deepest desires

I don't think Sunny lost his shadow aspect or anything like that. I've seen some people mentioning that. I also don't think he was cut off from the spell. I just think that it was too much for the spell to process having a piece of it torn from its hosts body. maybe it has to do a hard restart...? if he was fully cut off from the spell then I think his older self likely wouldn't have been able to control shadows more powerfully than the present Sunny. I just keep thinking that we already know that there are times when the spell deviates from its usual script, like when it asked him if he was sure, or when it used a quiet tone. it's also subtly shown that it has an attitude especially when it comes to Sunny. who's to say that it can't malfunction a little when a piece of it is violently ripped out. who knows, I might be wrong but I really don't think the spell was pulled out. I think it was the strings of the bond. I'm rambling 😵💫

I think 6 for the nightmare itself unless something else pops up then 2 or 3 for Sunny's rundown of the whole nightmare and the eval. then 1 for Sunny's thoughts on the evaluation itself. so yes I think about 10 until they get back to the waking world.

this explains so much. although the plagues have been there for a long time it was only because they went into one of those streams and ended up in a time far in the past and was just around until the time their challenge was supposed to start again. it's weird because that would also make them remnants of the nightmare wouldn't it? idk but it explains why the plagues were around for so long and will likely play into the amount of time that has passed outside of the nightmare 😵🥴😵💫
