I understand it might seem like I'm criticizing you, and maybe I am to some extent. But let me ask you this: if ten years ago, a random guy approached you with the idea for a game like Candy Crush, and you liked the concept and wanted to invest, but he asked for 20% or even 30% of the shares, claiming it would be worth billions in ten years, would you have believed him? The only thing I think I could have done better in that scenario was to choose a different game instead of Candy Crush. Other than that, I don't believe I made any mistakes. Regardless of the game, I wouldn't have given him more than 3%.

Hello there, thanks for the review, I appreciate it. Coming to the topic, Yui, or the mentioned character Iroha, who hasn't appeared yet(:in the fic) does have some manipulative personality. However, I still think that the anime never dove deep into those traits, especially in regards to Yui. Many wouldn't catch on to those small hints given in the show. That is the same case with Hachiman possessing previous life memories. Even if there were any doubts Hachiman may have, and he did notice them personally, I am not planning on exploring them too deeply, especially Yui's. Well, it may seem like I am taking an easy route, ignoring them, but that is what I would like this fic to be. Nevertheless, I did try to portray Yui's negative traits to some extent, which you will see in future chapters. As for reddit or discord, I don't have them, but if you still think you would like to continue our discussion, just say it, I wouldn't mind creating.

True. First of all, thanks for being so polite and considerate. (I expected to face much harsh criticism on this topic.) You could have just lashed out, and nothing would have changed. Coming back, I understand why you feel that way because I almost followed the same 'setting' from the anime, and it will be the same for a few more chapters, but I did add my 'touch' to every chapter.(Though you can expect some changes to this approach after a few chapters) Since you watched the anime almost two years ago, I think you only remembered the 'setting' which I didn't change much, as I mentioned. It was kinda a conscious decision from my side. I want to see how differently I can portray 'this' Hikigaya from the original... So, sorry if I happened to disappoint you.

I can do that...(Which, I kinda feel like I am cheating) But let me put it this way, for Hikigaya, winning the competition and then the [Candy Crush] game is just a small stepping stone into the gaming industry (kind of a spoiler). He is just using it for making connections and gaining experience. I know it looks like I am just making excuses for the scam I put Hikigaya through, but trust me... I prepared something for the future.

Yeah, I think I made a mistake here... I should have, at the bare minimum, aimed for 2 or 5% I was so fixated on making this whole process of him winning the competition as believable as possible that I overlooked the 'contract' and did the same thing with it. But don't worry I will definitely make up for it in the future.
