I didn’t even think about this. Now that he’s aware, he won’t actually rest for the entire time he’s in the loop. It’ll be so jarring for Neph/Cass on the last loop. It’ll appear like Sunny all of a sudden had years taken off of his life.
Or rather, not so suddenly. Time was repeating itself inside the loop, and while his body was restored to its initial condition at the start of each revolution, mental exhaustion remained. The Chain Breaker had just landed on the shore of Wind Flower, but Sunny himself… he had already spent an entire day on highest alert, in constant tension, playing a lethal game of cat and mouse with dreadful abominations. Please post the chapter because that was one of the things that made me the most angry, was her not apologizing. I might’ve just missed it or forgot, but I had thought that was kind of the point. She’s not sorry because she thought she had to decide between Neph and Sunny and she’d always pick Neph under those circumstances. She obviously feels terrible that she did that to Sunny, but she doesn’t regret choosing to save Neph. At least that was my interpretation.
At the bottom of it all, Sunny was still hurt, resentful, and angry at Cassie. While at the same time caring deeply about her. - SwolBear9mthCommented
Ok, as much as I hate that Sunny is forced into this slave role, I gotta appreciate Nephis trying as hard as she can to never force a command to Sunny
