Really? She's been trying to act nice towards him all this while then now after she brought him to this psycho, she just ignores him cuz she's worried about her party? This novel starting to reek of edgy teenager drama.
This novel will make you want to smash your phone because of how many useless words are used each chapter. I swear you could summarize most chapters into 5 paragraphs and I'm being generous here. I don't need to talk about characters, world building, plot progression or anything else since they are all buried under mountains of empty words and description that contribute nothing to the story apart from increasing the word count. I'd rather stare at an empty wall than reading a single chapter of this mess.
A novel going bad is one thing and leaving it unfinished is a totally different matter. There are so many ways to recover a story despite it going bad. You can try to make it better? An arc can go bad but then there is a next arc and an arc after. If I see an author making an effort to improve his story rather than quitting, I wouldn't complain. There is also ending the story if it doesn't recover. The author can tie out most loose ends and finish the story gracefully before jumping to another, if he's sure he won't be able to fix it. Just not leaving it hanging like an unwanted orphan. Your reader who paid to read your story is not your draft board where you practice your imagination on and leave as you wish. Forget about the time and energy wasted, just the fact that this is a paid platform is enough to make such behavior inexcusable. I love authors and want to support them to end but right is right and wrong is wrong.
