Probably the reason Rowena's father chose Cedric -> Asher for his Daughter is his insight into these future supposedly insurmountable challenges. And I somehow have an itch that Asher is gonna unravel the mystery behind that Reaver whatever and use it for the good of both worlds. And as someone rightly said, they might have mistaken the interpretation of that 'fate' just similar to what happened with Isola... Probably we'd get a repeat of how that ended or something similar

Perhaps he could use his human allies to pressurize the interests of his enemies over there. That way, their attention becomes divided. But Asher still needs some thunderbolt inspiration to know his biggest enemies (Lupus & Kira) and get a way to escape their schemes. Probably Lupus granddaughter would show up again and give them some life-saving/eye-opening ideas..
