Just one word: EPILOGUE. I really wish we got an extra chapter for some closure, maybe a few years down the line and Claire and Annabelle meeting each by chance(?). But yeah, amazing story. I just wished we got a little bit more to really feel like the end

I'm feeling bad I can't give 0 on all counts. The constant grammatical errors, badly constructed phrases and unoriginal plot make you feel dumber with each page turn. Personal disclaimer though: I couldn't get past reading chapter 3. And then again fast forwarding most of it. Of course, the author couldn't even manage a title, a synopsis or more than a few chapters written, so that's all this deserves, too.

There's a certain feeling of relief when reading novels where the main character is always overpowered, always gets his way, and nothing wrong ever happens to him. When I started reading web novels, or at least the chinese cultivation inspired ones, I was absolutely stunned finding almost all books seemed to be like that. That's because I was used to reading books centered around heroes getting pummeled every which way, stewed, fried, getting defeated constantly and sometimes yes, even forced into slavery or commanded only to be able to win out at the end, after facing all those trials. And I also loved those kinds of books. So... yeah. Don't lose hope on this book just because the main character isn't the most powerful, or has to overcome major obstacles, like gaining back his freedom. It's more fun that way.

I sincerely wish I could time travel about 2 years into the future, just to read the finished novel. It's amazingly well written for a web novel, with a consistent pace, amazing world building, and enough mystery and cliffhangers to keep you constantly glued to each page and craving the next chapter. I rather like the characters, since they seem like actual human beings in character and actions and not just cut-out cliches. The "slavery" part of the title so far is just 99% angsty feelings and 1% actual effects: that said, it makes the story fresh and helps the whole suspenseful plot going... Not much more I can say, except congratulations to the author, and I hope the story ends keeping the amazing pace it has so far.
