As much as I wish I could continue this, the story evolved too unnaturally for me. Although I don’t like stories where people hide their strength in general, the remedy to this is not to have all the character’s suddenly get rewritten to undo all the previous story.
It’s like the author realized they unwittingly vilified the sister and father and tried to undo it by reinterpreting everything. I would say honestly that this is a fault of the platform encouraging chapter-by-chapter writing.
Oh great. I predicted it. Woohoo. 😒
My biggest fear is that she will encounter an enemy she cannot face, get saved by her brother, and then fall in love with the man who was always so kind and the only one who could protect her.
Actually, I love this skill. It’s so quirky! 😅
It’s not implied it’s divine, though. Anyway, this could be a frog in a well scenario. Since it worked on people around him which were not exceptional enough to thwart the skill, he had no reason to improve it. Consequently, exceptional people can see right through it. It doesn’t mean it can’t grow, though.
I think a lot of people are forgetting that the kid is only ten years old. Having his memories locked away means a lot of his wisdom was lost. Intelligence is one thing, but experience is not something measured in levels (although in most games it quite literally is)... 😅
I mean, that is the number of questions for some of the most robust personality tests. Granted, they do take about a day to complete.
Well, in a world where intelligence is a stat, surely mazes can be seen through.
Anyone realize his “cousins” would probably be the princesses and princes in the royal family?
If I had to guess, her resolve is slightly messed up do to bring saved, meaning that she is currently self conscious. Her savior’s stare is just icing on the cake.
In my defense, I was thinking of luck as affecting draws or the like only. I did not consider fate itself to be rewritten. If that’s the case, then I have no qualm.
I always find it funny when characters will credit shrewdness to people. It feels a little like a brag. ”hey, check out how intelligent this world is.” “I know, right? These developers must be amazing.” Author be like 😋
Although I understand this argument, 10% of your health is a lot in a neck-and-neck battle. However, maybe the monsters have similar advantages that evens this out.
It’s probably the perceived strength difference between you and your opponent. As you get stronger, the difference between you and most mobs will get smaller, meaning you don’t gain as much experience.
A better argument would be it analyzes your brain waves to identify your character. Plus, why mention blood type? That’s silly compared to the knowledge DNA brings you. Also, could it accurately distinguish between identical twins. If there are any differences, they are one in a million.
This would imply and orc with a human face. That’s creepy!

The point is that both of you can be right. Being responsible for one’s own terrible life doesn’t mean it isn’t terrible.
So combining all the information so far, rather than seeking talent, she equips mediocre players with good gear so that they can trounce regular talented people. She basically makes up for her guild’s mediocrity with money. As for her, her strength is not as a player; she is also a mediocre player. However, she knows how to use money and connections to empower herself and those around her. This combines the author’s comments with the story as stated. 😅
