Tione sank her teeth with a loud audible crunch into the flesh of the apple. Just the piercing of the apple's skin by her teeth made rivers of juice gush forth and they filled her mouth instantly to the brim, with a trickle running down her chin as stars shone in her eyes. Those carvings were really depictions of the actual mythological figure of Ptah in Steve's old world, and it served to inflate the little god's ego as he stared at his Manor which his children had built. The poor girl curled up into a foetal position and begged for forgiveness over and over again on the floor before Alex finally let up. The older girl then picked up the entire pile of clothes, shoes and jewellery and tossed them into the storeroom, while banning Efe from wearing any of them and from any desserts for a week as punishment.

It was as if somebody had taken a pair of scissors and had just cut the string in two so that both people would drift away from each other. And drift off they did as now that the link was broken, their paths would take them away from each other, which was very different to how it was in their previous lives. For now an even greater person had replaced one of the two subjects and a new string was formed, one end connecting to Ais and the other drifting off somewhere upwards.
