A piece of advice that you did not ask for, in this type of scenes, the small narrative details help the reader's immersion much more, I would recommend using certain narrative elements so that the quality of your story improves much more, don't get me wrong, your novel is quite good, I'm just telling you this so that you can add even more. A very good channel in case you are interested in investigating this is Quotidian Writer, it really explains in an excellent and easy way how to achieve these things.
