Read books
I’v read for too many years to cry over this. I do feel a squeeze on my heart tho. And when I lost my own Alex last year (true it was only a mere 38 years but felt like a thousand) I cried many tears.
Kazzen, don’t ever apologize for needing the basic needs we all do. If you even wanted to take an evening off to go on a date I think most would understand. Those who do not aren’t worth listening to. Now I am reading this after you’ve finished the book. So I have no issues with how many chapters you put out. Romance novels are, for me, a small dessert. My reading is generally more serious and deeper; I have 700 books on my Nook. But I was drawn to your love story here because I’m a new widow, my beloved’s name was Alex, he was very handsome (just not coldly perfect), and we had 38 years together before he passed. So I’ve been relaxing with Alex and Abi’s story and shedding the odd tear here and there. I wish you could quit your day job and write full time. Any way to do that? Your books are as good or better than what’s selling in stores. Oh well, you do what’s best for you and those who love you will follow. BTW Alex and I considered ourselves bonded, mated for life, alpha male and female wolves. When you mate for life it truly is difficult when you lose your mate; you feel like half yourself is gone. But the benefits during life are truly incredible. Keep on!
Was I the only one who guessed Alex was a vampire from the beginning? In my 1st comment I know I said “paranormal creature” but I wasn’t 100% sure about vampire, only about 98% sure. Ha! I’ve just read so much over the years that characters reveal themselves. Way to go!
Kazzen I will admit that at first I thought that you were writing a typical mundane romance novel. Then I gave you a little credit for adding in a vampire even though you hadn’t introduced him as one yet. It was amusing but nothing out of the ordinary. But now I retract it all. You have a very active imagination and your twists and turns are almost Machiavellian. Do not give up after this and go back to ordinary romance novels. Continue to force your mind to grow and expand and write novels worthy of a true storyteller. I would suggest reading Diana Gabaldon, the writer of the Outlander series. It’s also worth reading The Outlandish Companion where she shares how she came to write her novels and what motivated her. Anyway you’ve got me hooked although how far I’ll go, I don’t know; it is expensive but will see.
Duh people. Yes the ring is ancient and so is Alex. He’s not 27, however old he is, it has been many years. ALEX IS A VAMPIRE! Who believes that is how Abi will be saved from her fatal illness?
As I said Kazzen, I had the most beloved lover a woman could ever have. Forgot to mention he was totally drop dead gorgeous. I met him when he was 45 and he literally took my breath away. A lot of differences but are you writing my story? Also are you a man or woman or ?
Kazzen: I’v never read your ot books so this a first. And what a first. Not a surprise though. My husband of 38 years just died and let me tell you he could put Prince Aly Khan and Porfirio Rubirosa to shame. I shall say no more other than I’m 68 and look about 40. Good loving can really change your life.
