Hello everyone, this is elilidreams (the author of this novel)! Firstly, thank you so, so much for reading this novel! I actually am trying to write this novel in my spare time while I juggle medical school and studying for exams (hence the irregular updates on my end as school is my first priority). Please forgive me if there are grammatical mistakes or errors as I do not have a formal proofreader. In terms of what this novel is about (as well as to give you a sense of the direction of the story)... This is a novel that was inspired by the many re-birth/reincarnation/transmigration Chinese novels that I read. Similarly to those novels, this novel is about a young girl who eventually walks onto the path of revenge in order to reclaim her family pride and honor. But, unlike heroines who get cheat codes, Jiang Yingyue, our main protagonist, gets none. Instead, every single encounter, every single transaction is a life lesson. As a medical student, I've had the privilege of speaking to many different types of people. As such, I will do my absolute best to write a novel that completely respects the reader's intelligence. Yes, there will be some characters who are "mindless" villains. But, the main villains will be thoughtful and provocative. The characters will be multidimensional, and hopefully, you will understand why they act in a certain way. As an author, I would have failed if you hadn't loved, laughed, hated, mocked Jiang Yingyue for her actions and behaviors. Because quite frankly, I don't want Jiang Yingyue to just be a Mary Sue... I want her to struggle, I want her to learn, and I want her to succeed. And in order for me to do all of that, I must make you love, hate, and admire Jiang Yingyue. But, in order to fulfill all of this, I will need time! As of now, the chapters will be updated as I finish them.
