The premise is really interesting and has a lot of potential. However, reading thus far, I am a bit disappointed that not much space has been provided to build up the story's foundation. It was as if the author just gave us a quick summarized introduction just to get it out of the way, allowing him to proceed to the echii and power grab stuff. I will still read a couple more chapters just in case it gets more interesting though.
