This has Marvel's fingerprints all over it, but I'll say for the record. You don't need to be worthy to wield Mjölnir. In mythology Mjölnir was just a heavy hammer that only Thor had the strength to pick up.

Are you sure I'm the one who didn't think this through? Dorne should actually be eager to marry the mc to Rhaenys. If the mc were to marry Arianne, then Dorne would be forced to support the mc even if it's a losing cause. Marrying Rhaenys would mean Dorne could tie themselves to the mc if he wins, but they can also distance themselves if he loses by saying Rhaenys is more Targaryen than Dornish
