James Hunt was a world renowned archaeologist who, at the age of 55, now led chosen archaeology students on tours to selected sites. And to get the opportunity to hike through the Appalachian Trail with him was just a cherry on top. So this trip to Virginia was one she just couldn't miss. Both of their fathers were partners in their jewelry business and friends… so were their mothers. So naturally Sarah and Raegan became friends as well, having been born only a couple of months apart. She had never really needed another friend because she had Sarah and now she was going to ditch her to fulfill her own dream. He was in his human form, according to the game rules. And in the stands there were all kinds of people, cheering their teams without having a care in the world as to who sits next to what creature. "Battle formation" a deep loud voice rang through the stadium leaving a hush in its wake. It was General Roth who was the referee of this year's spring celebrations. There was a booming sound of flapping wings as both teams took their positions high up in the air. Twenty dragons divided in two teams for a face off competition. It was the last time her mother had held her. The next morning everything was ripped away from her. They were all set to go when her parents and max; her little brother went to shop for snacks and never returned. The accident was so bad that none of them had even made it to the hospital. She had seen the wrecked car, and vomited on the road side. Thankfully the bodies of her family had already been moved to the ambulances. She wouldn't have been able to stomach the sight. Like a coward, she hadn't seen the faces… not then and not at the burial. It'd been a whole year now and she'd promised herself she wouldn't let her grief or anything hold her down. She moved so fast he didn't get a chance to block out the punch she threw at his face nor the knee that shot up to kick him in the groin. He doubled over. His face crumpled with pain. Blood dripped from his nose onto the ground. Whoa! She thought maybe it was a bit harder than necessary. Never mind – the bastard deserved it.
